As the Cost Accounting Manager for the Outdoor Performance Group, you will be responsible for analyzing and controlling the costs of production, materials, labor, and overhead for all manufacturing sites to ensure accurate cost information for decision-making purposes.
This position reports to the Sr Director, Accounting and is based out of our Bozeman, Montana, Logan, Utah or Providence, Rhode Island office.
As the Manager, Cost Accounting, you will have an opportunity to:
Develop, implement and maintain cost accounting systems and proceduresEnsure accurate cost allocation for raw materials, labor and overheadConduct regular cost audits and variance analysisPartner cross-functionally to support cost productivity initiatives through design, evaluation and execution of initiatives that improve profitabilityCollaborate with business partners to develop annual budgets, forecasts and strategic plansProvide insights into cost trends and their impact on financial performanceSupport scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for business decisionsPrepare financial models to project future costs and profitabilityPrepare detailed cost reports, budgets and forecastsIdentify opportunities to streamline cost accounting processesCollaborate with operations and control teams to optimize cost efficienciesEnsure compliance with internal controls, company policies and relevant accounting standardsSupport internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanationsYou have:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field (MBA, CFA or CPA preferred)6+ years in a fast-moving, consumer-focused industry (CPG experience preferred)Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in a dynamic, evolving environmentAnalytical Excellence: Strong financial modeling, data analysis and problem-solving skillsTechnical Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with financial analytics tools preferredStrategic Influence: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadershipTransformation Mindset: Experience leading financial transformation projects within a supply chain or logistics environmentPay Range:
Annual Salary: $115,000.00 - $130,000.00The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
