If you've said yes to some or all of those questions, you might be interested in the new Creative Data Strategy and Reporting Manager role we have open with a well-known retailer!This role sits on the Creative Business Operations Team and supports leadership and cross-functional teams in making and meeting business objectives backed by data. In this role, you will work to identify and translate data in order to make business recommendations and actionable insights.In this role, you will support the design and implementation of the creative data strategy and data pipeline, help define the strategic framework for internal reporting across multiple data sets, build out data governance processes, and develop ways of working to ensure accurate data collection, processing, modeling, and analysis. You will also lead the Creative Data Strategy & Reporting team (analysts) in identifying insights and optimization opportunities across different data sets and develop reports and presentations for Leadership.You will partner with internal teams as well as subject matter experts to understand shared goals, KPI metrics, and the right model and cadence for reporting to different audiences within the Creative Studio and cross-org partners. This role blends relationship-building, collaboration, and creative data analytics.Responsibilities:
Define, plan, implement, and champion the creative data strategy across the Creative Studio tools and teams.
Partner across teams to support the implementation and maintenance of a data pipeline that minimizes manual input and maximizes output.
Lead data team in implementing creative data strategy, pipeline implementation, and successful completion of data insight initiatives.
Oversee design, build and delivery of reports & insights that analyze business functions, key operations, and performance metrics.
Build and manage relationships through close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and SMEs across the Creative Studio.
Provide support to key business priorities to enable more informed decisions, and partner with Operational leads and other senior stakeholders to implement recommended optimizations across the business.
Partner with teams to develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards that ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee data/report request process: tracking submitted requests, prioritization, approval, etc.
Manage and optimize data intake, validation, modeling, visualization, comms of deliverables.
Examine, interpret, and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders in creative leadership, marketing, and product teams.
Qualifications:
Analytical expertise with at least 3 years of working experience in a data strategy, metrics, and/or analytical position within a creative or marketing team.
Experience leading creative data strategy through definition, roadmap development, and implementation in a fast-paced and complex business setting.
At least 2 years of experience managing data roles/team.
Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with a large set of stakeholders representing a variety of data goals.
Experience with a wide range of data to develop and analyze financial and operational metrics.
Experience working with and creating databases and dashboards using all relevant data to inform decisions.
Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to company growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business outcomes.
Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources.
Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units.
Strong deck/narrative building and presentation skills to educate, influence buy-in, and drive change management.
Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities.
Strong ability to assess processes and translate business needs into data requirements.
Ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
Familiarity with Adobe Workfront and/or Adobe Experience Manager Assets.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of SAS code statements, models, and macros.
Strong SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries.
Understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and data pipelines.
Experience with data visualization tools: Tableau, Raw, chart.js, etc.
