Job Description

Focus Features digital marketing is responsible for the digital promotion of both specialty and wide release theatrical films in the United States. The group creates, manages and optimizes campaigns that utilize all methods of digital marketing and advertising, covering mobile and desktop websites, digital advertising creative, applications, custom video content, online publicity and social media programs.

Our team is seeking a dynamic and innovative Digital Marketing Manager who is passionate about film, social media, and creative marketing strategies.

Reporting into the team’s Director, the individual in this position will execute the creative and social strategy for upcoming campaigns. Exceptional communication skills both one-on-one and across all levels of management are crucial. This position will work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously in the face of shifting priorities and deadlines. Daily, the position requires someone who can take initiative with minimal direction, has the ability to seek out information from appropriate sources, and has exceptional follow-through.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

Collaborate with the team to develop breakthrough strategy, concepts and ideas for the promotion and marketing of Focus Features films in the digital space

Manage, monitor and execute day-to-day social media campaigns across all social platforms

Handle day-to-day communication with third-party vendors––from proposal development to seeing through the execution of social creative and digital spots. Provide timely feedback to creative partners to ensure that the process runs smoothly

Work alongside the Director of Social to ensure all creative is delivered in a timely manner based on the social content calendar 

Work with platform partners and third-party vendors in the creation of digital creative executions, making sure they are on schedule and within budget 

Assist in identifying and facilitating digital partnerships for custom collaborations

Keep up to date with current social trends and influencers to help inform relevant and platform specific social creative 

Execute digital ad creative, site takeovers, and custom media-related initiatives 

With insight from the team VP and Director, provide creative direction and ensure paid social assets are delivered on time, to specifications for each individual title

Assist with managing time-sensitive trailer and content debuts 

Work cross-functionally with Creative, Publicity, Distribution, In-Theater, International and other departments with the delivery and/ or creation of custom creative assets

Have a willingness to travel, as required, providing on-site coverage and support for premieres, junkets, and digital influencer events

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

At least 4 years of experience in the entertainment industry, specifically in digital marketing and/or social media

Working knowledge of Microsoft-based software: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint 

Proficiency in Photoshop

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary Range: $80,000-$100,000; bonus eligible, not long-term incentive eligible.
