Job Description

Position Purpose

The Manger, Digital Planning Systems will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing large scale planning strategies across a multi-year transformation roadmap to drive process automation and optimization for over 1M shipments per year to maximize cost and service performance. The Manager, Digital Planning Systems will leverage technologies including but not limited to JDA, Llamasoft, Blue Yonder, Business Intelligence Tools, Robotics Process Automation – in reducing manual processes, and significantly improving digital planning and execution process by collaborating with cross functional teams across the organization to drive game-changing opportunities within the supply chain.

This individual is responsible for both mid-term and long-term network optimization and logistics automation processes. This role will expand and improve CHEPs logistics automation processes to include both daily execution and weekly optimization through JDA PSO platforms.

While leading a team of 2 Senior Analysts, the Manager will work cross functionally with Sales, Operations, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Finance, and the Executive team to deliver optimized network expenses as well as providing financial forecasting.

Major/Key Accountabilities

Manage the design and business application of enterprise and custom optimization and automation processes to improve sourcing controls and logistics user experience.Responsible for developing a weekly plan to ensure that product flows to and from customers have the most efficient transportation route to minimize distance travelled – resulting in lowest transportation cost and best customer service for over 1M annual shipments.Responsible for short and mid-term automation of all stock types totaling $400M+ annual spend.Identify key drivers for manual touches in planning process and drive technological and process enhancements to increase digital planning.Develop and drive improvements in digital planning key performance indicators – that demonstrates advancements in planning systems performance.Collaborate with cross-functional partners in reviewing current state technology and process, make recommendations on future state, and lead transformation projects.Lead/Drive the regional implementation and adoption of Enterprise planning systems and solutions.Support data-driven decision-making by developing and implementing advanced data analysis methodologies on both structured and unstructured data sets.Integral part in supporting the network optimization team in driving cost out initiatives, ranging more than $3M.Responsible for collaborating with demand planning, production planning, transportation, logistics and operations to continually seek feedback and incorporate the most realistic inputs to drive optimal planning systems performance.Utilize network optimization algorithms and advanced analytics to identify and drive actions to improve network efficiencies.Drive annual cost reductions and sourcing consistency through improved and measurable process enhancements.Evaluate, recommend, and develop appropriate automation software and systems for business adoption.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 5+ years of relevant experienceAdvanced analytical and modelling skillsStrong analytical skillsStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Supply Chain Network Design ExperienceScenario planning   

Desirable Qualifications

Experience

5 years’ experience in Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain5+ years of Inventory Optimization using industry leading Planning and Optimization Software 

Skills and Knowledge
