Manager, Digital & Social Strategy

  

Overview and Responsibilities:

CBS Marketing strives to become the most audience-centric and data-driven entertainment marketing team in the industry, as we seek to create and implement innovative ideas that capture the attention of our audiences. The Manager of Digital & Social Strategy is responsible for the online presence and fan development strategy for alternative & reality IP for CBS Marketing.

With experience spanning social and emerging platforms, this person will translate marketing messages into digital opportunities through clear campaign plans and ongoing promotional efforts. Strategists support the day-to-day business functions while being proactive and curious about new ways to introduce our IP to audiences and deepen our relationship with existing fans.

As part of the Marketing Strategy team, this role collaborates closely with the CBS Creative Agency and various other teams across CBS and Paramount to deliver cohesive 360 campaigns that demonstrate how digital impacts the overall brand experience and drives business results.

The Manager of Digital & Social Strategy will also partner with various creators and online platforms to stay at the forefront of social trends and emerging technologies to champion innovation and drive earned media for CBS IP.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Develop captivating digital paid and organic campaigns and generate earned media.

Use data and insights to acquire new fans and deepen engagement with existing audience. Anticipate what’s driving the culture and how our marketing authentically participates. Demonstrate mastery of social content development best practices. Guide and grow DTC fan development programs for assigned IP. Collaborate with cross-functional team to develop comprehensive 360 plans. Clearly document and present plans.

 

Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of experience managing digital and/or social strategy for an organization, preferably in the media and entertainment industry Proven experience presenting to and interfacing with talent Proven track record of innovative social/digital marketing campaigns Familiarity with the tactics used to build fan communities (social, SMS, site, IRL)

 

Additional Qualifications: Passion for CBS alternative shows Deep knowledge base of existing and emerging platforms Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills Understanding of unscripted television production Strong presentation skills A cooperative, team-focused approach Comfortable in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint Bachelors Degree or equivalent

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $74,400.00 - 93,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
