This position is a multi- unit field leader who leads and develops Store Managers to drive sales growth and establishes a positive culture for customers and Health Enthusiasts that is aligned with company brand expectations within his/her district.

 

The District Sales Manager will have full accountability for all stores within their district and be responsible for financial results, including all key metrics.  The District Manager works to ensure stores execute all operational functions and comply with company policies, procedures and applicable laws. The District Manager establishes strong relationships with business partners to deliver high quality service to all internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

The District Manager will partner closely with the Field Leadership team and Regional Vice President; as the voice of his/her assigned district, this individual will need to build and maintain strong relationships across the organization.

Provides strategic leadership, planning and execution of solutions for current and future business needs  Ensures store management establishes community partnerships that develop relationships with fellow businesses and community groups.        Builds strong partnerships with RVP and field leadership team. High level of professionalism, interpersonal skills / flexibility in conjunction with solid problem-solving/conflict resolution skills and a strategic business sense.Utilizes data, trend analysis, statistical reports, and benchmarking to conduct root cause analysis of current state of business and identification of metric-driven solutions.         Holds profit & loss responsibility for the district while ensuring consistent policy and procedure compliance.        Develops and maintains customer loyalty by ensuring a selling culture exists within each store that provides a lasting connection to the Vitamin Shoppe brand.Provides coaching, mentoring and overall direction of accountabilities for store management teams in order to implement strategic initiatives and meet district, region, and company goals.  Recruits and identifies future leaders in the business, provides training and feedback, and maintains a current succession plan.Provides leadership and assessment of Health Enthusiasts' performance to ensure identification and development of high-potential Health Enthusiasts’ and bench strength.Ensures the safety/security of company assets, customers and Health Enthusiasts through regular store visits and training of branded store standards/compliance with company and government safety standards.     Effectively communicates business and financial objectives to management teams; audits store performance, collects data and communicates results to Regional Vice President or other functional department within the organization.Demonstrates a proven ability to plan, organize and streamline communication effectively to direct reports, store teams, support partners, RVP and other functional departments.Requires all stores to provide an outstanding customer experience while resolving service issues to the customer’s satisfaction.Adapt to frequent changes in workload. Adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.Computer skills (Microsoft office, excel, word, access, power point)

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

Store Managers, Field Training Managers and Nutritionist (if applicable) Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant fieldRelevant work  experience will be accepted in lieu of Bachelor’s degree

Experience:

3-5 years related and relevant, multi-store experience as a District Manager in a retail environmentEquivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable
