Manager, DSW FP&A - Demand & Net Sales (Hybrid)

The Manager, DSW FP&A - Demand & Net Sales is a highly visible role that collaborates with partners throughout the business to enhance projections, support strategic initiatives and improve overall financial performance of the business.  This individual is a creative problem solver with great attention to detail, who is responsible for the Demand to Net Sales forecast for both DSW Stores and DSW.com. This position supports the goals and objectives of the business through financial planning, reporting, and analysis.

 

Reports To: Director, Retail FP&A

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop a daily forecast for DSW Stores and DSW.com, with a detailed understanding of base trends, incremental demand drivers and corresponding selling metric expectations. Provide accurate and timely analysis that summarizes results and variances to projections. Have a forward-looking view of monthly and seasonal Demand forecasts for DSW Stores and DSW.com, utilizing both top-down and bottom-up methodologies (i.e. base + incremental, historical builds). Oversight of Demand to Net Sales projections based on fulfillment mix strategy and return trends and understanding of variances to projections. Supporting the career development and progression of direct reports by fostering an environment of teamwork and dedication to learning and development. Cross functional collaboration with Merch Planning and Marketing on demand drivers (promotions, performance media spend, clearance activities, etc.). Ad hoc analysis.

 

This position has the ability to execute change management within the function, across the business and with external partners focusing on enhancements, process efficiencies and the appropriate alignment of roles and responsibilities across the enterprise.

Qualifications:

Experience:

5+ years' related experience in a fast-paced environment (Retail experience preferred) Experience managing a team Knowledge of Finance/GL packages (Lawson, EPM, or similar is valued but not required) Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools (MicroStrategy is valued but not required)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA is valued, but not required

 

Education:

Undergraduate majors preferred: Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics
