The Electric Power Systems Engineering Business Office is looking for a self-motivated and disciplined individual to join its team as a Manager, Earned Value Management.  This position provides the candidate with a unique opportunity to work together with the Program Management Office and Engineering customers.

While in this role, the ideal candidate will provide guidance and proactive analysis in the areas of Project Management, Budgeting, Scheduling, and Variance Analysis used in the execution multiple programs.  Experience with MS Office Programs (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word. MS Project, EV4P, Cobra, Tableau, Power BI) is key to the success of the candidate along with experience working on multiple projects with competing priorities.

The candidate will become an integral part of the team, providing analysis and recommendations utilizing Earned Value tools and methodology.

What You Will Do

Prepare program cost and resource projections and maintain them dailyEstablishes / maintains and measures performance against program cost baselineTrack, trend, forecast and analyze budgets and actualsIdentify detailed program risks and opportunitiesAnalyze/modify cost estimate and re-baseline programs as needed and when requiredData reconciliation with accounting system and project cost and scheduleActively support monthly program Estimate-at-Complete reviews and Monthly/Quarterly Program Review preparation activitiesEnsure program compliance to EV System DescriptionFacilitate monthly data reconciliation and compile compliant Earned Value or project plan data approved by the program manager and provide to the external customerSupport on-going periodic process audits (e.g. DCMA Compliance Reviews)

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experienceU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Qualifications We Prefer

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a minimum of 5+ years of analytical and trending skills.Demonstrated effectiveness working across functions, organizations, and various levels of management with strong written and oral communication skills.Understanding of project management and Earned Value Management principles and their application to complex projectsEVMS compliance Knowledge / Familiarity with the EVMS 32 Criteria GuidelinesExperience with SAPExperience with analyzing and interpreting dataBachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Finance, Accounting or related field

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
