Zelis is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Manager, EDI and ETL Operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of EDI, ETL and/or SDLC processes, standards, and technologies, along with leadership and communication skills.
As a Manager, EDI and ETL Operations, you will play a critical role in optimizing our electronic data exchange operations to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration across our organization and with external clients. You will be responsible for partnering with internal teams to resolve issues, as well as improving/streamlining the necessary processes to ensure success in each implementation.
What You’ll Do
Work with Engineering leaders and stakeholders to identify and remove obstacles, communicate dependencies, minimize risks, and ensure consistent, quality software delivery.
Review & enhance process improvement measures, including efficient resource management and clear delineation of staff responsibilities.
Plan for staff availability, time-off requests, and perform other day-to-day management duties as needed.
Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing among team members.
Lead, oversee, and maintain existing partner relationships, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Lead cross-functional teams to execute highly complex and technical solutions.
Supervise the development and maintenance of EDI mappings and data transformation processes.
Oversee and enforce data quality and validation checks to ensure accurate data transmission.
Guide and assist the EDI teams throughout the development and 835 QA process.
Strong communication and presentation skills, while exhibiting the ability to view and consider the perspective of various units within the organization.
Create and maintain internal processes to handle backlog, technical debt, resource allocation, automation opportunities, and processes that streamline work and improve output to meet business needs/scaling.
Address internal and external client escalations. Communicate clearly and effectively with the clients to ensure their needs are understood and met.
Establish metrics and KPIs from Jira/etc., in pursuit of establishing baselines for ticketed flow and team/member performance.
Present regular progress reports and setting goals to provide a clear picture of the department’s performance and overall posture.
What You’ll Bring to Zelis
Minimum of 6+ years technical (EDI or Software Engineer) knowledge and experience
People management experience
Familiarity with: ETL Processes, Microsoft C#, Microsoft SQL Server and SQL language (T-SQL, SSMS, or LINQPad), Jira, Salesforce, and/or Confluence
Healthcare Claims and Payment data, HIPAA EDI 835 transactions, EFTs, EOBs/EOPs, etc. experience helpful
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree a plus
Complex information systems experience
