The following position is to join RTX Corporate:

RTX Communications is seeking a Manager, Employee Engagement Communications to serve as an SBU (strategic business unit) employee engagement communications lead. The successful candidate is a strong writer and strategist, with the ability to develop, lead and execute various integrated communications plans aligned to both product and employee initiatives. The role is responsible for managing the execution of tactical support including, but not limited to, newsletter/email distribution, video production, town hall support, executive communication support, survey tools and more. This role also collaborates with teammates from across Centers of Excellence (COEs) to support and deploy communications campaigns, initiatives and best practices to elevate communications efforts with the assigned SBUs.

This person will be responsible for partnering closely with global business communications leads and leaders within the business to develop and execute campaign plans tied to SBU, Raytheon, and RTX-level priorities, including development of messaging and content.

The ideal candidate is a creative, driven and enthusiastic strategic communicator who is experienced in client and project management.

What You Will Do:

Leads employee communications planning and execution for two Raytheon SBUsInforms and engages employees of assigned SBUs on RTX-wide employee engagement campaigns and Raytheon-specific initiativesManages internal storytelling for the company intranet, including strategy, writing, and publication coordination related to assigned SBUsManages newsletter strategy and content calendar for assigned SBUs in alignment with Raytheon editorial processesTracks internal metrics, reporting and trendspotting to optimize internal communicationsIn partnership with global business communications leads for assigned SBUs, supports internal executive communications strategy and execution for SBU presidents:Includes message development, leader prep and strategic execution of president-level employee and leader events.Leads employee communications components of integrated campaigns and key initiatives / strategic pursuits for assigned SBUs.Supports the employee communications plan for Tier 1 tradeshows aligned to assigned SBUs.Provides surge support across the employee communications team in areas such as functional and employee crisis communications as assigned.Travel up to 10%, or as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.Previous experience with internal communications strategies, with exceptional written, verbal, and social communication skills.Previously experience in storytelling that delivers impactful, positive outcomes.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience in a matrixed, international environment.Knowledge of, and experience in, the aerospace and defense industry.Demonstrated interest in seeking out innovative approaches to audience engagement.Self-starter with a natural curiosity and drive to bring projects to completion.Adept at building relationships in a remote environment.Demonstrated ability to balance and deliver on multiple projects.Ability to understand complex business issues to craft messages for targeted audiences.

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
