What you will do:

The Engineering Manager, in partnership with the leadership team, will be primarily responsible for driving a culture of manufacturing excellence & growth & developing a strategy for business transformation through automation and advancing manufacturing technologies. Responsible for cultural change & leadership in the implementation of manufacturing transformation. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining the technical objectives.

Lead development of a detailed manufacturing excellence strategy for the business, in partnership with the leadership team.Responsible for the technical and professional development of the engineering team and ensuring the requisite resources and skill sets are available and developed to meet current and future business needs. Support the engineering organizational model and alignment with future needs.Align department initiatives with the goals and responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineering team.Recruit, develop, train, and retain high-performing leaders and individual contributors to achieve business objectives.Drive high levels of employee engagement through cultural change & inclusion in the Manufacturing excellence journey.Will identify engineering projects that will increase customer value through either improved quality, capacity, or cost. Identifies and implements opportunities to reduce manufacturing complexity.Advance capital planning and multi-year budgeting to support sustaining and business transformation. Develop strategies for production line tooling, automation, and maintenance.Collaborate with new product introduction teams to enhance product manufacturability and support new product launches.Partner with key functions to strengthen supply chain resiliency.Provide production support to achieve safety, quality, cost, and capacity goals through effective training and resource allocation.Take ownership of the physical production layout, optimizing material flow from receiving through final packaging.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (biomedical, mechanical, electrical, or industrial).8+ years of experience in engineering or technical functions.3+ years of people management experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills:

Proven ability to develop high-performance teams.Expertise in solving complex problems independently or collaboratively, using appropriate tools.Experience in manufacturing high-reliability electromechanical assemblies within highly regulated environments.Knowledge of implementing automation in production processes.Strong collaboration skills, including daily engagement with technicians, engineers, and managers.Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach emerging leaders.

Travel Percentage: 10%
