The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
Scope of PositionThe ERP Transformation office is commissioned to drive the company’s multi-year enterprise resource planning (ERP) transformation from 31 disparate and aging ERP systems across Corning to 3 instances of SAP S/4 HANA. The consolidation of Corning’s current ERP application environments onto a common platform will enable the delivery of enhanced functional capabilities, business efficiencies, increased agility, and a lower ERP cost structure for the company. The ERPT team will ensure Corning has an enterprise-wide approach to the transformation supporting the migration of our businesses before, during, and after their implementations.
As the Manager, Enterprise Platform, you will be a key member of the team that focuses on advising and shaping the Global Template functionality and will support the articulation of the department priorities, complete necessary analysis in support of those priorities, and execute program management and reporting across the initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Serve in a flexible capacity to own and drive a portfolio of concurrent projects related to design and/or implementation of Global Template capabilities Facilitate meetings to ensure these strategic objectives are on track to deliver against milestones and intervene as necessary to address roadblocks Provide thought leadership in the utilization of a template approach for platform capability needs e.g., PIA, Archiving, such that the ERP Transformation is delivered on-time and on-budget with the expected functionality baseline Develop and implement the Enterprise Platform strategic plans that align with the digital and technology vision Generate and maintain artifacts such as, project plans or status reports Partner across ERP Transformation teams to complete assigned projects and embed new ways of working through coaching and strong communication execution Frequently connect with program stakeholders to ensure project continuity and success Travel Requirements: up to 20% domestic/international Experiences/Education - Required Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Information Management, or related program. A master’s degree or relevant certifications would be considered an asset Minimal of 10+ years progressive experience in Program /Project Management, preferably in digital transformation or the ERP space Experience global PMO, vendor governance, support, and global software development governance Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder managements skills and a track record of achieving results Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional, global projects Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driving decision Ability to break down complex problems into manageable goals and drive to timely decisions to solve Ability to communicate complex business/technical challenges in a simplified manner Desired and Soft Skills PMP, Scrum and /or Agile certified Experience working in virtual teams Vendor management Ability to work flexible hours based on varying business requirements SAP domain experience Adaptability and flexibility including ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change Excellent organization and time management skills Ability to work independently, seeking support as needed. Excellent judgment and decision-making. Strong listening, creativity, and negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to overcome adversity and manage challenging situations Willingness to respectfully challenge the status quo

The range for this position is $176,785.00 - $243,080.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
