As the Manager of Epidemiology, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of infection control and clinical epidemiology at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. Your responsibilities will include implementing, managing, and continuously improving our infection control program to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices.
Working closely with corporate leadership, you will stay at the forefront of emerging healthcare trends, ensuring the hospital remains prepared for GACH surveys and Joint Commission accreditation. Your expertise will be crucial in driving infection prevention initiatives, assessing risks, and enhancing patient safety.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
Bachelor's degree.Two (2) years clinical epidemiology experience in a health care setting.Required Certification/Registration:
Certified Infection Control and Epidemiology (CIC) or attends a basic infection control training course within the first year of entering the profession.Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
Master's degree preferred.Two years management experience in clinical epidemiology in health care highly preferred.Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
