Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual for an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) role within our organization. The ideal candidate will support the company in managing its environmental impact, ensuring social responsibility, and maintaining effective governance standards. This position will involve monitoring and reporting ESG performance, developing strategies for improvement, and working closely with Qualfon’s ESG Steering Committee and various departments to integrate ESG best practices into the organization's overall strategy, including supplier diversity. Proven experience working with CDP, Ecovadis, GHG Protocols (Scope 1, 2 & 3), and SBTi.
Key Responsibilities:
ESG Strategy Development and Implementation:
Assist in the development and execution of the company’s ESG strategy aligned with organizational goals and the ESG Steering Committee Ensure the integration of ESG principles into business practices, projects, and operations. Identify opportunities for sustainability improvements and guide the organization towards meeting ESG targets.Environmental Sustainability:
Monitor and report on the company’s environmental impact, including energy usage, waste management, carbon emissions, and resource conservation. Recommend and implement strategies to reduce environmental impact and improve sustainability performance. Collaborate with internal teams to drive initiatives such as green procurement, sustainable product development, and waste reduction.Social Responsibility:
Working closely with the Qualfon Mission Office, identify initiatives related to employee welfare, diversity and inclusion, community engagement, and ethical supply chain practices to be communicated appropriately.Supplier Diversity:
Identify potential diverse suppliers and work with regional finance team to complete the supplier registration process. Work with Business Leaders and ESG Steering Committee to develop policy /program to support supplier diversity program for the US entities. Develop processes and setup spending limits. Work with NMSDC (National Minority Supplier Diversity Council) and USHCC (US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce).Governance and Compliance:
Support the creation of governance frameworks and policies related to ethics, transparency, and business integrity. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements concerning ESG factors, including reporting obligations and industry standards. Assist in risk management by identifying governance, legal, and reputational risks associated with ESG factors.Reporting and Communication:
Compile and analyse ESG data for internal and external reporting purposes (e.g., quarterly sustainability reports, regulatory filings, ESG disclosures). GHG inventory process and reporting Prepare presentations and reports for senior leadership and stakeholders. Stay informed on global ESG trends, regulations, and standards, and communicate developments to relevant departments.Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
Build relationships with external stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies, to further ESG objectives. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, operations, and HR, to integrate ESG strategies into business processes.Continuous Improvement:
Monitor ESG performance and recommend improvements or adjustments to current practices. Identify opportunities to reduce usage of Natural gas and Carbon Emission. Stay up to date with emerging ESG trends, regulatory changes, and best practices, and share knowledge across the organization.Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.Experience:
8-12 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, corporate social responsibility (CSR), or related fields. Experience in ESG reporting, data analysis, and sustainability initiatives is highly preferred.Skills:
Strong understanding of ESG principles, frameworks, and reporting standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.Certifications: Certifications related to sustainability, CSR, or ESG (e.g., LEED, GRI, SASB) are a plus.
