These employees operate trains, maintain railcars, assist customers in stations, make critical right-of-way and electronic repairs, and provide technical and analytic support to deliver timely and reliable customer services. This position is accountable for organizing and administering the division's operating and capital budgets, including the development, review and establishment of divisional and subdivisional needs to ensure the provision of adequate staffing and supply throughout the division. The position is also responsible for developing current and muti-year business plans. Compensation : Salary Range: $ 81,780.00 - $ 129,264.00 (Grade F) Responsibilities: The Expense Analysis Unit is responsible for the preparation, analysis, and monitoring of the Department of Subways’ $4 billion annual operating budget. The Expense Analysis manager will lead a team that works with operations professionals in the Maintenance of Way (MOW), Service Delivery, and/or Stations Divisions, and Subways leadership to develop budget proposals, develop and execute analytic plans, and support management decision-making. The manager will be responsible for monitoring day-to-day operation of their team, and coaching, counseling, and mentoring their team. The managers will facilitate work with personnel at all organizational levels to understand the operating environment and resource requirements, as well as develop analytical plans to forecast the financial and operational impact of proposed budget investments or reductions. These positions require strong quantitative analysis skills, including advanced knowledge of data analysis software such as Excel, as well as the ability to present data on headcount, overtime spending, variance analysis, forecasting models, financial status, and/or operational trends. Education and Experience A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in Business Administration, Finance or in a related field, and a minimum of four (4) years of related experience, of which two (2) years must have been in a managerial/supervisory/administrative capacity; or A satisfactory equivalent of education and experience.
