The Facilities Manager, under direction, oversees the daily supervision and management of facilities staff. Manages building proctors and facility-related activities for assigned Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) members.
Responsibilities:
-Manages facility activities for assigned TAMUS members and facility staff.
-Manages building proctors in coordination with building maintenance and renovations.
-Assists in the coordination of safety activities.
-Prepares and processes various operational documents (i.e., financial statements, inventories, personnel listings, etc.).
-Coordinates moves and safety assignments.
-Acquires and coordinates audio/visual equipment systems.
-Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules/regulations for supervised staff members and student workers.
-Conducts performance appraisals. Assigns tasks or responsibilities to others and monitors work performance.
Education and Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Five years of related experience, including three years of supervisory experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
-Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to promptly respond to on-site emergency calls. Ability to manage, plan, and organize the overall building maintenance and operations.
Salary
Commensurate with experience
The target base annual salary is $53,745 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
