Job Description

Technical Operations, Engineering, and Cyber Security within NBCU Operations and Technology division is an $800M+ operating cash flow ($1.1B FCF). The group functions as a global shared service within NBCUniversal performing critical functions including Media, Broadcast and Studio Operations & Production, Content Supply Chain, Information Technology and Engineering, as well as Cyber Security. The group operates from numerous locations around the world, including New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Denver, and London.

The Manager will play an integral role on the Engineering Finance team, which oversees the consolidation and analysis of financial information (OCF, Capital, Headcount, Allocations) across multiple lines of business.  The position offers unique exposure to strategic planning that has an enterprise-wide impact.  This role will report to the Director of Operational Finance.

Key Responsibilities

Support in all aspects of annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, monthly pacing, analyzing key metrics and trends, and summarizing for executive level presentations for support areasLead monthly close deliverables (including monthly allocations, accruals, and company-wide cross charges) and ensuring timeliness and accuracy of all close activitiesIdentify and streamline system operations, reporting, and forecasting processesEnsure accuracy and completeness of financial data, and provide regular reporting on financial performance, variances, and trendsCollaborate with Operating, HR and Finance leads to tell an effective, concise, and consistent financial storyBuild effective business relationships with internal/external stakeholders and partnership on strategic initiatives to drive productivities (including planning & execution)Perform various ad-hoc analyses including variance analysis, sensitivities, and other requests from senior management

Bring a collaborative and hands-on approach to the workPromote a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverablesDevelop open communication and productive work relationships with senior leadership, operations leads, and the broader finance team

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

BS/BA degree Finance, Accounting, or related fieldMinimum 4+ years public and/or private accounting or FP&A experience preferredProven financial and analytical skills including the ability to create complex financial models and efficiently communicate resultsMust be proficient with MS Office Suite products – particularly advanced Excel and PowerPoint skillsAccounting / GAAP knowledge

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
