The Finance Manager will oversee financial and accounting support for Telemundo Studios, ensuring accurate planning, reporting, and analysis. This role partners closely with Studios, Business Affairs & Operations, and Production Management to provide actionable financial insights and drive strategic decision-making. Responsibilities: + Lead the financial closing process, including pacing, variance analysis, journal entries, accruals, allocations, and reconciliations. + Oversee financial planning for all estimates, budgets, and long-range plans (LRP) for Scripted operations. + Manage production budgets and third-party contracts. + Process and analyze reports using SAP, BW, AOE, SNAP (AP tool), and Concur (T&E, P-Cards). + Develop reports with key metrics to track budget performance and P&L. + Proactively monitor P&L performance and identify cost-saving opportunities. + Review compensation & benefits (C&B) and headcount changes for Studios. + Implement controllership best practices to ensure accurate financial bookings and timely reporting. + Maintain and update finance process documentation. + Prepare financial presentations for senior leadership, including operating reviews, variance analysis, estimates, and budget updates. + Supervises union agreements, payroll, and residual payout calculations. + Support special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed. + Manage, coach, and develop direct reports. + Reports directly to the Finance Director and supports additional tasks as assigned. Basic Requirements: + Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. + 5–7 years of experience in financial analysis and forecasting. + Strong proficiency in general ledger systems (SAP) and financial reporting tools. + Excellent time management skills with a deadline-driven mindset. + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. + Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. + Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal). Desired Characteristics: + Experience in the Media or Entertainment industry. + Innovative mindset, continuously seeking process improvements. + Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative. + Strong adaptability in reassessing priorities as needed.
