ROLE OVERVIEW 

The Manager, FP&A will help lead profit and loss forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting for FN Logistics. This role will provide business unit support for the global operations team, which includes the Distribution Center, People & Culture, Transportation, Procurement, Customer Care and Loss Prevention teams assigned to FN Logistics.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting, Planning, Forecasting - Work closely with business partners and key stakeholders to forecast shipping expenses by carrier and mode across multiple geographic hubs and regions Partner with the Vice President of Operations, People & Culture, and the Transportation division to forecast and budget FN Logistics labor management budget.  Utilize sales, unit, and order volumes from cross-functional partners to help operations team build unit capacity plans at the daily, weekly, and monthly level Prepare transportation and labor management dashboard along with other financial KPI scorecards for department owners and senior leadership Build complex financial models to evaluate new strategic initiatives - Examples include ROI analysis on shipping, logistics, and contract negotiations with key third party vendors. Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement to impact productivity, process effectiveness, technical tool utilization, and automation Oversee transition to new vendors and technology platforms with Accounting and Operations teams Oversee, coach and train new Financial Analysts on systems, projects, policies, procedures, and best practices

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Four plus years in forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and management reporting, identifying incomplete / inaccurate data, understanding the root cause and creating recommendations to improve existing business processes and understanding and solving complex business challenges by building financial models, analysis, and delivering recommendations in a concise and measurable manner Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to present complex data and issues in a simple, succinct manner Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) BA|BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or prior experience in investment banking, consulting or another related field English, additional language(s) an advantage Schedule of this position:  Monday – Friday | Core business hours | Onsite
