Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis
What You'll Do As our Manager of Strategy & Planning you and your team will report performance against forecast and plan, and identify risks and opportunities to the executive leadership team. This is an exciting, high-profile role, rich in analytics and plays a critical role to support strategic decision-making. You will offer the opportunity to obtain a 'big picture' view of Avalara's performance while at the same time improving processes to lead forecast efficiencies and accuracy, and operational improvements to help the bottom line. The Manager, FP&A will report to the Director, FP&A and can be remote within the United States. What Your Responsibilities Will Be You will work with our Engineering and Product Management leadership to improve margins and efficiency, and guide the General Manager organization on business plans and on the Product Roadmap. You will lead annual corporate planning process for Engineering and Product Management including establishing a framework for modeling that allows insight into forecasts and assumptions. You and your team will prepare monthly/quarterly reports to track performance against forecasts. You will partner with senior business leaders and C-suite to provide in-depth analysis and applicable insights to improve processes and guide bottom line results What You'll Need to be Successful 4+ years of experience in FP&A management, investment banking, and management consulting in the technology industry. Experience with SaaS business models. To be successful, experience with Adaptive model or similar (Anaplan, Planful) is needed. US GAAP knowledge 4 + years of Advanced proficiency in Excel MBA or CFA. #LI-Remote The base pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations. Colorado $105,900-$169,500 Washington $105,900-$187,200 California $105,900-$205,000 NYC $128,200-$205,000 The pay range above is the general base pay range for you in the state listed. Your actual salary/wage may be based on multiple factors, such as geographic location, candidate experience and qualifications, and market and business considerations. This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on company performance, depending on the terms of the applicable plan and your role.
