Job Description:
The Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for a variety of financial analysis activities including analysis, budgeting, modeling, dashboards and reporting. This role requires strong organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to gather data from multiple sources, develop visualization tools, and meet tight deadlines. The Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis role offers an interesting variety of projects and ample opportunity for professional growth and development. This role is a business partner to our sales organization and looking at ways to better align sales investments to create demand.
Essential Roles & Responsibilities:
The role is the Finance business partner to our Sales team
Lead and present the analytical review for the monthly financial statements, including conducting analysis and data interpretation to be able to explain the “why” behind variances and trends
Prepare models and ad-hoc financial analysis to support company initiatives, investments and objectives
Build reporting and dashboards using visualization tools and various data sources to help drive business decisions
Develop and monitor key metrics to support teams and drive financial results
Responsible for data gathering and preparation of annual budgets/forecasts and monitor results vs budgets/forecasts
Lead/manage duties and responsibilities of financial analysts
Other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong analytical and quantitative skills including the ability to handle large volumes of data, understand process flow, gather information, analyze, problem solve, link financial results to operational performance drivers and find efficient and accurate ways to complete tasks
Demonstrated decision making and critical thinking
Must possess strong attention to detail with ability to execute against deadlines
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple and competing priorities
Takes initiative and is proactive in addressing issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a proactive manner, or within a team environment
Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or other related field
Experience: 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance related role
Systems: Advanced MS Excel user, proficient in Microsoft applications. Experience with Oracle & Salesforce desired but not required.
