You Will Do

Analyzes complex data and system configurations, assesses risks, and develops strategies to support accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. This role champions and balances the needs of the finance community while collaborating closely with the technology team providing specialist knowledge of the finance systems and processes, and accounting policies. This manager possesses expert functional / technical knowledge of SAP and operates with a customer- centric focus.

Responsibilities:

Working closely and in collaboration with the Disney Finance organization and Enterprise Technology and business partners to facilitate the successful implementation of S/4HANA, a new consolidation software, and modernized finance reporting solutionsCollaborate to develop and implement strategies to address finance needs, collect data and analyze implications, and define and document agreed upon finance functional requirements, end-user system procedures, and business process flowsConnect the functional processes and priorities to the greater organizational goalsUse your functional expertise and deep knowledge of SAP to develop solutions to system issuesDevelop testing strategies, coordinate and participate in finance related testing efforts for system implementations, improvements and modificationsCommunicate with partners, management, and subject matter expertsSupport the S/4 Project Change Management team in developing targeted training programs and materials to prepare the finance community on the use of the SAP’s S/4HANA and other related applicationsPromote continuous improvementExercise critical thinking, problem solving and analytical capabilities with attention to detail

Required Qualifications & Skills

5+ years w/ ERP systemsDeep knowledge of SAP accounting solutions and 3+ years of accounting and/or finance experience in a complex, large organizationProven history to showcase your accomplishments and capabilities related to your role on an enterprise-wide financial system programAbility to navigate complex issues; not afraid to grapple with the unknown and be innovativeStrong analytic and critical thinking skills, and ability to us data-driven insights to inform your decisionsAbility to identify and mitigate risks to financial processesYou deliver excellence and take pride in working collaboratively with strong teamsSuperb communication skills, both oral and writtenAbility to deliver results and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Education

Bachelor's Degree - Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business, or a related field

Preferred Education

Graduate Degree - Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (e.g., MAC, MBA, MIS)

This role may be based in Orlando FL, or Glendale CA. The candidate will be expected to be in office at least 3 days per week.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, California is $135,000.00 to $165,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
