We are looking for a dedicated and technically proficient Financial Systems Manager to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will manage two professionals and be responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of our financial systems, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization. This position is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in financial systems and a passion for maintaining system efficiency and integrity.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs the Financial Systems Manager, you are part of a team that will ensure our financial systems' smooth operation and reliability. Your primary responsibilities will include system maintenance, troubleshooting, and user support. You will work closely with the Laboratory’s IT department and finance team to ensure our financial systems are robust, secure, and aligned with business requirements.
Manage and maintain financial systems to ensure their optimal performance and availability. Perform regular system reviews and data integrity checks. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely manner. Provide technical support and training to finance team members and business community users on system functionalities and best practices. Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within financial systems. Coordinate with IT and finance teams to implement system updates, patches, and enhancements. Develop and maintain system documentation, including user manuals, procedures, policies, and technical guides. Monitor system performance and implement measures to improve efficiency. Ensure financial systems comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Assist in implementing new financial systems and integrating existing systems. Qualifications - Required Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing financial systems. Strong understanding of financial processes and system lifecycle management. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage, Workday). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on system accuracy, reliability, and customer support. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize support effectively. Qualifications - Preferred CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Server+, or similar certification. Knowledge of database management and SQL. Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud). Experience with system integration and automation. Experience in a corporate or governmental finance environment. Experience with project management ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) certification with business process reengineering for managing IT services, incident management, or change management
