**Purpose**
As a valuable team member in the Internal Control group, employee will contribute to the success of the SBUS control framework by working with the First Line of Defense to support the execution of the technology components of the highly regulated Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program for all U.S. businesses and control and support functions (CSF). The operational risk requirements for technology are quickly growing and in need of a motivated self-starter with interest in operational risk, Global Banking and Markets, and their reliance on technology.
**What You’ll Do**
+ Focus on the technology used by US Businesses and control/support functions (CSF) to complete the technology components of their business/CSF RCSAs.
+ Work with Technology 1b on all technology-specific RCSAs requiring Technology and Business overlap
+ Design, develop, implement, and execute the RCSA framework, plan, and overall evaluation of operational risk across all U.S. Business technology (used within Equities, Prime Services, GBP, FICC, CIB, etc.)
+ Serve as the First Line Risk Manager for operational risk and technology to design, develop, implement, and execute the RCSA framework, plan, and overall evaluation of technology and business components of operational risk.
+ Contribute to the annual assessment and design of the SBUS RCSA technology universe.
+ Evaluate enterprise-wide assessments in TPRM, BSA/AML, CRCA, Risk ID, operational resiliency, to tie critical data points to the operational risk framework.
+ Serve as an effective risk manager to assist senior leadership in evaluating key operational risks across their business.
+ Compile materials to address regulatory exams and deliverables.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders across the businesses and the three lines of defense, including First Line (FLSS), Second Line (Operational Risk Management), and Internal Audit, to confirm comprehensive and consistent practices are followed to allow for a successful oversight program that proactively manages and assesses operational risk.
+ Evolve the operational risk framework by driving consistency in data point gathering, including all IT asset management across SBUS, New Initiative Assessments, Operational Risk Events, Key Risk Indicators, etc., providing subsequent guidance for remediation if deficiencies are identified.
+ Own individual portfolio of work and operate independently to aggregate, analyze, and report on operational risk to senior leaders.
+ Review, update, and maintain all related policies and procedures.
+ Manage and perform Quality Assurance review of the Key Risk Indicators and Key Performance Indicators to be monitored and reported.
+ Centrally manage and track all the issues and remediation efforts for all the issues attributed to the US based Management team across all US entities and business lines. Liaise with the specific issue owners for periodic updates and manage the closure process.
+ Partner with local Front Office business line managers to address Operational risk issue.
+ Track technology-related operational events (gains, losses, near misses) and conducts analyses of root causes and determines corrective actions, in conjunction with Technology 1b and the relevant Internal Control FLSS team.
**What You’ll Bring**
+ Minimum of four years of relevant experience in financial services industry, preferably in risk management, compliance, operations, or audit
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field
+ Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
+ Strong time management and ability to meet strict deadlines
+ Working knowledge of business process maps and/or Visio preferred
+ Ability to work independently and with senior management
+ Use of and/or interest in business intelligence and/or automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx, VBA, etc.) preferred
