Manager Quality Assurance
The Manager of QA supports the retailers overall program objectives through the management of the QA team and implementation of key QA processes. Manages relationships with retailer cross-functional teams, customers and manufacturers. Expected to demonstrate a basic level of industry best practice and use that to review and provide adjustments to current processes and procedures to maximize efficiencies that align with the retailer’s objectives.

Position Summary
The Manager of QA supports the retailers overall program objectives through the management of the QA team and implementation of key QA processes. Manages relationships with retailer cross-functional teams, customers and manufacturers. Expected to demonstrate a basic level of industry best practice and use that to review and provide adjustments to current processes and procedures to maximize efficiencies that align with the retailer’s objectives.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Oversee a team of QA/Food Techs that service the QA function at the retailer account
• Assign and prioritize the project workload for the team to enable timely delivery of high-quality processes and strategies.
• Take leadership role in collaborating and communicating with key stakeholders to ensure that projects are aligned with Private Brand objectives
• Maintains an understanding of Daymon and customer strategy and vision
• Maintain industry and global working knowledge of basic QA and Food Science/Safety tools and methodologies
• On occasion collect and organize disparate pieces of information into a clear and concise business case; present internally and to customers
Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct Reports
- Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources
Indirect Reports
- This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports
Travel and/or Driving Requirements
- Travel and Driving are not essential duties or functions of this job
Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job
Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience: Business Administration, Food Science or Related Field
5-8 years of experience in quality assurance, or related experience
