Krispy Kreme's Manager, Food Safety & Quality Assurance is responsible for creating new and carrying out established food safety and quality programs for Krispy Kreme production and retail-only facilities.
HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Lead the implementation & execution of quality assurance and food safety programs across manufacturing facilities and retail-only shops. This includes HACCP programs, food safety audits, quality systems reviews, standard operating procedures (SOPs). Collaborate on the development of quality assurance and food safety programs and performance metrics. Have the ability to act as project manager across multiple active projects.Maintain thorough records and manage multiple document streams.Regularly review compliance metrics for domestic and international production and retail-only locations. Generate reports.Train, mentor, and coach district and shop managers on food safety & quality.Auditor for production & retail-only shops. Support & coach shops as they prepare for third-party audits.Occasionally audit third-party manufacturing facilities and other external parties.Act as primary point of contact for some food safety/quality vendors, including management of invoices, billing, etc.Evaluate new food safety items, including cleaning supplies.Subject matter expert on food safety & product quality. Provide guidance on related topics.Extensive coordination with Shop Operations, Learning & Development, Technical Services & Engineering, and Facilities Management.Provide support for global new market openings when required.YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, Food Engineering, or other Food Science related field and/or 5+ years’ experience with quality, food safety, food facility auditing, or related discipline.Experience facilitating food safety / quality-related training events.Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.Must have the ability to interact and partner closely with other corporate departments.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Crisis and recall management experience preferred50 – 75% travel required. Mostly domestic, although some international travel is necessary. An updated passport, or the ability to acquire a passport, is required. Travel will include extended overnight stays.BENEFITS
