Position Summary

The Manager of Specialty FP&A leads a team of 2-3 analysts and will report to the Lead Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.  As an FP&A manager you will support the Specialty Pharmacy business unit at CVS Health in budgeting, modeling, forecasting and variance analysis.  Some areas under the purview of this leader include Pricing, M&A Reporting, Careplus planning and Client Profit Reporting and database management.

The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills to lead discussions and work as part of a collaborative team.  These efforts will span across various departments to deliver on key enterprise initiatives and operational results.  The role will need to promote a culture of innovation, challenging the status quo, and development of team members.

Key Activities Include

Ownership of key inputs into the annual operating plan and quarterly forecasting for the Core Specialty business.Assists in the preparation of monthly financial packages to be presented to senior managementDevelops margin analyses, projections, reports, and presentations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis and ensures financial data accuracyIdentifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior managementAssists in the creation of an annual operating budget and annual strategic planCarries out special financial planning and/or analysis of projects of varying nature and complexity which may include: financial metrics, process improvement initiatives, competition, investments, etcManage and oversee the development of team talent and providing continuous training/ learning opportunities, striving for a high-performance, sustainable organization that meets its strategic and operational goals and objectives


Required Qualifications

5 years of professional work experienceAdvance skills with Microsoft Excel, experience using functions such as PivotTables, VLookup, etc2+ years of Microsoft Access experience

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of finance in a healthcare / pharmacy settingKnowledge of SQL3+ years of Microsoft Access experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to build strong relationships with other teams within the company and be able to enact change

Verifiable Bachelor’s degree

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
