Who We Are

The FP&A team is a cross-functional partner that supports HopSkipDrive’s growth and innovation. It's a highly impactful team that focuses on financial planning, reporting, KPI management, and running analytics to drive operational impact. This is an exciting opportunity to learn in a fast-paced environment and own high-priority projects. We do, and you will, run essential elements of HopSkipDrive’s financial process, including building and maintaining the annual plan and ongoing  rolling forecasts.

Review monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial results, prepare variance analyses, and communicate results to key internal and external stakeholders Prepare presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors to report on financial results, forecasts and plans, and the impact of business trade-offs and decisions  Partner with functions to set financial goals and track progress against those goals, and to size and manage departmental budgets  Drive recurring meetings with business partners and leadership teams, providing both KPI and financial updates to ensure the organization delivers on plans Analyze data and own financial and scenario modeling  to drive insights that will help make financial and  operating decisions  Lead analysis to enhance understanding of our markets and customers, and growth plans Identify and execute process improvements and cost efficiency measures to support the company as it scales 

Who You Are

HopSkipDrive is seeking a talented FP&A Manager to join the FP&A team. As FP&A Manager you will own forecasting, financial reporting, and developing financial models and analysis to drive business insights and decision-making. You will work with teams across the company to create and maintain plans, manage budgets and measure the  impact of business decisions. The role requires superior analytical and presentation skills, as well as an outstanding ability to collaborate across a diverse range of stakeholders. With the following skills, you’ll make a tangible and immediate impact:

Bachelor’s and/or MBA in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Math, Computer Science or other quantitative field 1-3+ years post-MBA or 5-7+ years without an MBA of analytical experience in investment banking, management consulting or private equity and/or a FP&A role at a leading technology company Strong financial skill set and grasp of corporate finance fundamentals, including experience with forecasting and business plan analysis Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including building and maintaining financial models Excellent ability to build and interpret information from large and varied data sets Superior verbal and written communications skills, particularly the ability to summarize analysis and present them concisely to a range of stakeholders, including executives Experience working in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment A proven ability to build collaborative working relationships with business partners A self-starter who is an enthusiastic team player Knowledge of BI tools and technologies (e.g., Tableau and/or Power BI) is a plus

HopSkipDrive is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Los Angeles, CA is $115,000 - $135,000. This position is hybrid position based in LA. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location. The total compensation package for this role also includes equity stock options.
