In this highly visible role with a strong focus on cross functional collaboration, you will guide meaningful decisions on PayPal’s high profile projects and have direct exposures to senior management across PayPal.

Responsibilities

Manage complex financial models and lead FP&A planning processes (e.g., weekly/monthly reviews, annual budget, long-range plan);Develop and monitor critical success and business performance metrics, communicate actionable insights to relevant stakeholders;Drive analytical rigor to connect operational levers to financial outcome, ensuring their quality, timeliness, and accuracy;Conduct market research, synthesize findings, develop critical insights into our evolving competitive landscape,assess relative strengths and weaknesses, and work with senior team members to propose recommendations that shape product and commercial strategy;Define compelling hypotheses, identify new opportunities, build business cases and quantitative models to support rapid growth;Lead financial analysis on new business initiatives; Partner with analytics, commercial and product teams to uncover insights about our trends and develop strategies to facilitate the success of our portfolio;Contribute to a collaborative and agile team environment that generates best-in-class execution, innovation, and market-leading outcomes;

Optimistic about the future and has the gumption to get there; Entrepreneurial and enjoys taking ownership of projects;Quick to adapt and agile in a fast-changing environment;Appreciate direct communication;Highly analytical and comfortable with managing large swaths of data;Advanced quantitative abilities, financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis;Excellent communication skills coupled with a strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity;Attention to detail and be able to step back and assess if the output makes sense;5+ years work experience in a field requiring strong problem-solving skills;Strategic mindset primed for cross-company stakeholder collaboration;Able to crystalize complex topics and present them to executive audiences;BA/BS degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Math, Economics, Finance is a plus;
