Manager, Global Business Services (BSWHP Accts)

JOB SUMMARY

\n

The Global Business Services – Accounting Manager performs complex accounting activities relating to the general ledger and financial statements. Supervises and reviews the accounting activities of professional employees and an outsourced global business process organization. Closely participates in the preparation of the financial statements of helped entities. Proactively establishes a working relationship with the service provider, respective facility CFOs and their teams, as well as other departments. Trains and manages team members, including special project teams, whether employed or outsourced.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

\n\nManages the accounting function for an assigned region or area of responsibility.\nSupervises employed staff, as well as outsourced staff.\nOversees monthly close process.\nReviews financial statements and performs financial analysis.\nPerforms final review of account reconciliations and provides feedback as appropriate.\nManages accounting audits both internally and externally, interacting with external auditors and internal auditors.\nPrepares financial statements and underlying help.\nActs as liaison with facility CFO and outsourced vendor.\nHelps in resolving reconciling items and business process issues.\nElevates issues and communicates relevant financial information to other departments including tax and government finance.\n\n

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

\n\nMaster’s degree in accounting or 150 semester hours, inclusive of 30 semester hours of upper-level accounting courses and 24 upper-level related business hours from a board-recognized college or university.\n5 Years of Experience; Public Accounting preferred.\nProven knowledge of GAAP principles.\n\nKnowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles a plus\n\n\nAbility to perform accounting research.\nExperience with leading accounting work and process improvements.\nAbility to manage a team.\nExcellent communication skills.\nExcellent problem-solving skills.\nAbility to train others.\n\n

\n\nEDUCATION - Masters' or Bachelors plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification\nEXPERIENCE - 5 Years of Experience\nCERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Cert Public Accountant (CPA)
