Job DescriptionMcDonald’s Enterprise Data, Analytics, and AI has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Global Data Governance. This role will support the Enterprise Data Governance Senior Manager by driving the development and adoption of McDonald’s enterprise-wide data governance, policies, standards, strategy, and processes. Working within Enterprise Data Governance and closely with key partners, as well as the technical team to support and maintain robust data governance practices across global functions and markets.
This role’s responsibilities focuses on developing and managing the data governance playbook of data governance process, partnering with stakeholders to deploy capabilities across use cases and projects, and maintaining standards relating to data governance practices across the data lifecycle. The role requires someone who is highly collaborative, is an active learner, and is passionate about using data to solve business problems. The individual will work with both internal stakeholders as well as and third-party vendors/organizations and requires broad, practical knowledge of managing data governance models and working to implement at a day-to-day level.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain data governance capabilities in alignment with industry best practices and McDonald’s business objectivesServe as a ‘go-to’ person on the data governance framework, provide guidance on data-related inquiries, and meet with the business to understand challenges, needs and feasibilityWork with key stakeholders to continually to work on improving current policies and processes and support the implementation across the enterpriseIdentify areas of risk and collaborate on appropriate remediation plans with data governance, data privacy and data security peersBuild and maintain strong relationships to navigate the complexities of gaining buy-in, building consensus, and resolving conflictsSet and achieve success metrics to significantly improve business results, focusing on what success looks like for our internal data producers and consumers and how data governance can help achieve enterprise value while building awareness and adoption across the enterpriseConduct data governance assessments to evaluate data governance metrics and effectiveness, mitigate risks, and identify improvement areasCraft compelling storytelling on how capabilities fit together and support each other to drive the overall data governance vision and goals. This involves creating presentations, reports, and other communication materialsDrives cultural change, ensuring data governance initiatives are understood and adopted by the organizationEstablish and maintain data governance processes such as data accountability, metadata management, third-party data management, and data qualityCollaborate with multi-functional teams to define data governance roles and responsibilities and promote a culture of data stewardship and accountabilitySupport the implementation of data governance tools and technologies to enable metadata management, data lineage, and data quality monitoringEnsure data governance processes are integrated into SDLC and project management methodologiesBenefits eligible: Yes

The expected salary range for this role is $112,860 - $143,900 per year
