Manager, Global Finance, Consumer Products & Experiences

 

 

 

OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Consumer Products and Experiences Finance (CP&E) is a highly visible team tasked with the identification, analysis, and development of pivotal initiatives to drive the long-term profitability and growth of CP&E’s businesses worldwide. The Manager, Global Finance Consumer Products & Experiences will be an integral member of the team, reporting to the Senior Director, Global Finance, and responsible for the development of CP&E’s location based experiences (LBE) financial management strategy. The Manager will also provide finance business decision support to Paramount’s Resorts, Theme Parks, Hotels, Events, Touring and Experiences. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading global media/entertainment company.

 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

-  Liaise and coordinate to support business operations across multiple regions, lines of business and a highly matrixed organization

-  Provide finance support to the business in the preparation of the annual Budget, annual five-year Long-Range Plan (LRP) and monthly Actuals & Forecasts; includes Revenue, Operating Income, Cash Flow & Risks/Opportunities (R&Os)

-  Dive deeply into financial data, track current financial progress, predict future financial trends, and proactively provide insights and financial advice to leadership

-  Summarize and develop presentation materials with quantitative/qualitative insights and supporting analysis for senior leadership team

-  Identify operational improvements and implement standard methodologies to drive forecasting accuracy, standardization, efficiency and visibility

-  Work closely with business and controllership team on revenue and expense recognition and balance sheet R&Os

-  Ad hoc projects (e.g., trend & sensitivity) including but not limited to products, franchises and brands

-  Collaborate closely with LBE business team, Strategy, Insights, Operations, Finance, Controllership, Paramount's various Center(s) of Excellence and Paramount leadership


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
-  Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

-  6+ years of progressive financial planning or accounting experience 

-  Leading projects and forecasting experience

-  Strong technical skills, particularly in large enterprise financial applications (SAP, Longview, Hyperion and Oracle PeopleSoft)

-  Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (strong pivot skills) and PowerPoint


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
-  CPA or MBA a plus

-  Licensing/LBE or media experience a plus

-  MS Excel modeling a plus

-  Excellent communication skills and able to collaborate with all levels within the organization

-  Highly analytical; strong organizational skills and attention to detail

-  Able to manage competing priorities and deadlines

-  Take ownership of a process and deliver results

-  Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

-  Resolve problems and maximize efficiency

-  Identify and implement process/reporting improvements where necessary

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $100,000.00 - 120,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
