JOB FUNCTIONS

Insights-Driven Problem Framing

Build an understanding of Team Member and Customer operational pain points Identify major initiatives and projects to tackle major pain points and develop paths to address through the lens of buy, build or partner

Competitive Intelligence & Business Development 

Identify emerging technologies and quantify their impact on restaurant operations Develop a view of the vendor and competitive landscape based upon innovation focus areas

Scope and Execute Testing 

Define scope and execute pilots of new technology in partnership with vendors and cross-functional teams, both in a laboratory and restaurant environment. Collaborate with internal teams to conceive and build solutions that don’t otherwise exist commercially.  Measure technology effectiveness on operations to build recommendations for implementation.

Scaling and Implementation

Develop and execute plans for scaling successful pilots into the field. Monitor performance of implemented solutions and report on business impact. Work closely with operations counterparts and other stakeholder to drive adoption of technology.

Mindset and Discipline to Accelerate Innovation

Bring an agile test-and-learn mindset and excel in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Perform traditional Project Management duties including maintaining project cost, schedule, risk, task backlog, deliverables, resource allocation, etc. for multiple concurrent projects  Commit to dates, communicate project status to stakeholders, make data-based recommendations, lead status meetings, and maintain engagement. Build and manage project roadmaps and prioritize initiatives based on ROI. Bring experience in managing technology implementations and developing prototypes.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED

EDUCATION: 

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related fields 

EXPERIENCE (and other qualifications): 

5+ years of project management, including 2+ years of agile in technical projects 2+ years of software product management or development Preferred 1+ years of experience working in restaurant in operations or as support/installation technician. Good understanding of interaction between multiple software solutions within a restaurant from UX and data flow perspective. Hands on experience piloting new technologies including practical application of physical and digital test and learn methodologies Proficient in Microsoft Teams and Office 365 Experience with a project management software e.g. Monday.com Skilled with virtual collaboration software e.g. Miro Experience with data visualization software and building dashboards Strong communicator who uses data to tell convincing stories Strong sense of ownership, ability to work independently and excellent customer service to drive projects to completion. Preferred knowledge of SQL, Python, R or other statistical program languages
