Manager, GME Training Program

Job Description

Manages and organizes administrative functions, plans and supports development of the site/joint division programs and all related areas. Oversees the planning, directing and coordination of academic operational and financial activities of the medical education programming in the department.

Job Responsibility

 

Provides leadership to GME Training Program team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives. Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system. Selects, develops, manages and evaluates direct reports; ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely fashion. Coordinates administrative functions, plans and supports program development of the department/division; assists the program leadership and faculty in the development of the residency program curriculum. Manages residency program block rotation schedule along with the residency program leadership, faculty and chief residents; monitors resident schedules to ensure compliance with ACGME and other regulatory body rules and regulations. Manages department/division in a fiscally responsible manner; assists in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets - operational, personnel and capital. Assists in developing and maintaining objectives, policies and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of the department/division; coordinates and oversees multiple administrative disciplines/functions resources. Ensures compliance with public health law, institutional and departmental rules and regulations. Manages collection, storage, reporting and distribution of program data and residency/fellowship program records. Participates in monitoring and evaluating a program's inception and performance and routinely monitors program leadership, faculty, trainees via residency management the health system (RMS). Identifies and implements technology, streamline operations and apply new concepts and techniques for positive outcomes. Performs related duties as required. Job Qualification

 

Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. 6-8 years of relevant experience and 2-5 years of leadership / management experience, required. 4-5 years of GME Training Program experience.  Experience with Accreditation System and CCC protocol.
