Manager, Health Informatics Senior

HealthPartners is hiring a Health Informatics Manager. This role will be leading the Quality Measurement Team, supporting analytics in regards to quality improvement and measures like HEDIS and CMS Stars.  Our mission is to provide simple and affordable healthcare.  HealthPartners teams use data to improve patient and member experience, improve health, and reduce the per capita cost of health care. DataOps Managers are responsible for leading teams who support analytics and business intelligence, as well as data pipeline development.  The role includes recruiting, retaining, and developing talent; supporting the development of data and analytic strategies; mentoring team members, ensuring compliance with data governance standards; . DataOps Managers play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of data processes, enabling the organization to leverage data as a strategic asset.

Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the technology and data teams. Mentor colleagues working in analytics, engineering, and data science areas. Build, model champion agile practices and principles—develop, charter, sponsor product teams. Rotate amongst the product teams that your staff support; help consult with product owners to connect dots and align efforts (engage in “scrum of scrums”) when products appear to be duplicating efforts. Support your teams’ ability to develop and sustain highly collaborative relationships with customers.  Build teams members’ capability to develop and create analytic pathways, identify strategic opportunities, translate requests into meaningful information, to negotiate priorities, and to educate end users about data use and interpretation Maintain a working knowledge of the data and analytic products that the team produces and manages; champion their work. Work with teams and leaders to set strategy & identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions; Consult and build trusted relationships with key partners including executives and business leaders Champion and practice the scientific method, and motivate their teams to generate and test falsifiable hypotheses within their design systems Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, ensuring that contracts are managed effectively and that services meet organizational needs. Build and maintain strategic partnerships with other organizations, technology providers, and industry leaders to drive innovation and growth. Perform additional administrative and strategic / division wide functions, as needed

 

REQUIRED SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong leadership and coaching skills, with ability to foster teamwork and skill development.  Experience working in agile / scrum Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role, with a track record of team development and performance management. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team. 7+ years experience with working in data analytics or IT. 5+ years experience working in healthcare Understanding of data governance principles, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and best practices in data management. Strong understanding of business operations and the role of data in driving business success.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science Expert knowledge of health care operations Experience managing vendor relationships Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools like SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, or SAS. Interest and desire to contribute to emerging practices around DataOps (CI/CD, IaC, configuration management, etc.) Strong foundation in statistical analysis, machine learning, predictive modeling, and data mining techniques.
