SUMMARY:
The Manager, Health Services Audits conducts facility audits and monitors compliance levels related to contract requirements, accreditation standards, applicable policies and court actions. Assists in development of programs to increase compliance as needed at all CoreCivic facilities. Administers and directs special projects at the direction of the Director, Operational Audits, Senior Director, Internal Audit and Risk Management, and Vice President, Quality Assurance. Works collaboratively with staff from the Facility Support Center Health Services Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.
1. Conducts Facility Support Center audits of CoreCivic facilities in areas pertaining to facility Health Services.
2. Assists Wardens/Administrators in improving compliance levels with Health Services related programs, Continuous Quality Improvement requirements, accreditation standards, contracts, court orders, policies, etc. through providing direct assistance or resources as required.
3. Acts as liaison between CoreCivic facilities and the Facility Support Center QA Department in addressing Health Services related issues.
4. Maintains Health Services related records and monitors Health Services related correspondence between CoreCivic facilities and FSC QA Department.
5. Assists facilities with interpretation of Health Services standards and policies.
6. Administers and directs special projects at the direction of QA leadership.
7. Reviews Health Services related internal audits and corrective action plans as needed and makes recommendations as to readiness of facilities for external audits.
8. Domestic U.S. travel is required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Graduate from an accredited college or university with a degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field and five years professional nursing or healthcare experience is required.
· One year in correctional nursing and two years in a supervisory capacity is preferred.
· Must possess a current Registered Nurse license.
· Auditing experience is preferred but not required.
· Must demonstrate excellent communication skills with a general knowledge of management principles and practices.
· Extensive travel within the U.S. required although relocation to the Facility Support Center is not required.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications is required.
