About the Role of Human Resources Manager
The Manager of Human Resources has a pivotal leadership role within the Human Resources department, responsible for overseeing a team of Business Partners and Talent Acquisition for HUB. This position involves developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the company’s goals, foster a positive work environment and ensure effective HR Service delivery across the organization. The HR Manager works closely with senior leadership to develop a center of excellence in talent acquisition, ensuring the organization is staffed with skilled and motivated employees.
Responsibilities
Leadership - Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals, in recruitment and business partnering, by supporting employee relations, providing full cycle recruitment support and driving process improvement through best practices. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Strategic Partner - Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, understanding their needs and providing HR solutions that align with business goals. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Talent Acquisition -Develop comprehensive talent acquisition strategies that align with the company's long-term goals. This includes employer branding and ensuring there is a pipeline of potential candidates through various sourcing methods such as job boards, social media, networking events and partnerships with educational institutions.
Employee Relations - Ensure all HR practices comply with relevant employment laws and regulations. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in talent acquisition and HR management.
HR Analytics - Monitor and analyze HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs, talent acquisition and people initiatives. Use data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Talent Development - Oversee talent management initiatives, including workforce planning, succession planning, employee engagement, and performance management.
What you bring to the team –
Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent education preferred.
CPHR Designation is considered an asset
Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR, with a focus on business partnering combined with 2 years of talent acquisition experience
Passion for leading and developing people, with proven leadership experience in leading and developing a team of HR professionals
Strong understanding of HR strategies and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Workday/HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other HR software (Phenom).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of HR best practices and regulations, including the Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Legislation
The expected salary range for this position is $85,000 to $105,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
