Job Description

Role Summary

The HR Manager role presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate with NBC News' streaming service News NOW, Digital Newsroom as well as its Editorial Units, across a diverse spectrum of HR functions. This key role involves providing robust support to the business within a dynamic work environment. Additionally, it entails partnering with the broader News HR team on overseeing cross-portfolio initiatives, special projects, and driving employee engagement activities.

Responsibilities

Serve as the onsite HR partner and support resource for Digital Newsroom, News NOW, Editorial Units, acting as the central point of contact for recruitment, benefits, payroll, and employee relations mattersLead and participate in critical HR initiatives such as staffing, performance management, organizational planning, compensation planning, and employee developmentGain an in-depth understanding of client group dynamics and key business priorities to provide coaching to business leaders on effective organizational management and leadershipAssume a leadership role in resolving employee relations issues, providing guidance to employees and managers throughout the processInterpret and implement HR policies, practices, and procedures, providing clarity and guidance on matters such as vacation, parental leave, etcManage the staffing process, collaborating with hiring managers and the talent acquisition team to devise recruitment strategies and ensure diverse candidate slates and high-quality candidate selectionCollaborate and partner with legal, labor relations, and finance to manage performance activities, initiatives, and budgets

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field5+ years of relevant HR partnering experience, including recruiting, performance management, salary planning, and organizational development

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
