Manager, Imaging Services: Salaried Full Time

What you will do:

Establishes effective working relationships with the Medical Staff and other departments/services. Helps ensure that the department maintains compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Assists in the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets; operates each function within the approved budget. Monitors and evaluates the quality and appropriateness of imaging services provided, and takes appropriate action based on findings. Maintains a quality control program to maximize the quality of imaging services provided and maintains appropriate accreditations. Assists in the selection, training, direction, evaluation, and when necessary, counsels or recommends discharge of members of the imaging staff. Maintains proper control of all Medical Center assets within area of accountability. Monitors general level of employee morale and job satisfaction and resolves developing problems as quickly as possible. Maintains regular communication with staff to motivate and guide individual as well as department growth to achieve maximum potentials and clear direction in future planning and development. Assists in development, review and approval of all policies and procedures for Imaging Services in cooperation with Medical Staff, Administration, Nursing Services and other clinical departments/services as necessary. Ensures that policies and procedures are reviewed and revised by Radiology Section as necessary. Assists in continued efforts to improve imaging services provided and to seek opportunities for new imaging procedures or programs which may benefit the Medical Director. Verifies the qualifications and capabilities of all radiological technical personnel. Assists in development of comprehensive safety rules in cooperation with the Safety Committee. Participates in committees, as required. Informs the Medical Staff and Administration of equipment needs. Keeps abreast of current healthcare trends and practices; maintains and enhances expertise through appropriate educational experiences. Carries out special projects, performs other duties and accepts any responsibility deemed appropriate or beneficial by the Director and Vice President. Completes the Management Development Plan, as modified from time to time, in the timeframe outlined by the President and CEO. Maintains knowledge of current HFAP, ACR and AOA accreditation requirements and help assure that these requirements are met. Demonstrates service excellence and ACE. Performs other duties as assigned.

What you will need:

Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA), accredited radiology program, or a Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field. Ability to apply verbal, quantitative, and interpersonal skills. Registered by the ARRT. Minimum three years supervisory experience within a department of radiology. Complies with all Service Excellence, Quality, and customer satisfaction initiatives. Ability to communicate and understand oral and written communication. Ability to effectively communicate with management, physicians, patients, vendors and co-workers. Ability to read and write small letters and numbers. Ability to perform complex arithmetic calculations. Punctual attendance at assigned work location is required. Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner and maintain an accident free work place, including ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Medical Center emergency codes. Ability to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC standard and transmission based precaution recommendations and to utilize proper personal protective equipment. Ability to comply with provisions of applicable S.D.S. forms. Successful completion of a 180-day probationary period.
