Overview
This position will be directly responsible for supervising and monitoring the Incident Management Unit. In addition, they will objectively investigate organization-wide alleged violations of corporate policy, procedures, regulations and/or contractual requirements and allegations of misconduct of staff in relation to person supported; producing factual reports for use by program management, human resources and other stakeholders; advising program staff on incident policy and procedures.

Annual Salary
$75,000 - 80,000
Responsibilities
DUTIES:
+ Oversees, manages, and monitors incident systems (IRMA, NIMRS, ARTS, Rising Ground Critical Incident Reporting System) and ensures compliance in accordance with requirements of external funding sources including but not limited to OPWDD, OMH, OCFS, NYSED, DOH, and ACS
+ Supervise investigators in the Incident Management Unit
+ Conduct investigations
+ Work closely with Chairs of standing committees: Incident Review Committee, Human Rights Committee, Risk Management Committee and others as developed
+ Responsible for the Incident and Investigation Quarterly and Annual report
+ Assist Corporate Compliance Officer to ensure and enforce compliance with written policies and procedures of the Corporate Compliance Plan
+ Identify high-risk compliance areas such as billing; payments and medical necessity claims; quality of care; governance; mandatory reporting; and credentialing in human services management
+ Provide program and regulatory training as needed
+ Participates in the development, training and amendment of agency policies and procedures particularly with reference to standards and methods for ensuring quality. Responsible for distribution of policies and identifying/recommending training requirements for policies and other procedures as needed
+ Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Vice President of Performance Evaluation and Monitoring

FLSA CLASSIFICATION/WORKING HOURS:
Exempt. Employee is expected to work until all major projects and related tasks are completed to the satisfaction of their supervisor. Some early morning, evening and weekend work is expected. Employees are paid a set weekly salary exceeding the federally required minimum and are not eligible to earn overtime compensation.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or Health Administration, Master’s Degree preferred, with at least five (5) years or progressive QI, Compliance or Program Management experience in a human services agency, behavioral or health care setting.
