BE PART OF THE CONNECTION

As a Manager, Income Tax, your role will encompass the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax compliance for multiple entities. You will analyze and interpret tax laws and regulations that impact tax compliance, as well as navigate taxation matters related to acquisitions, dispositions, and corporate/partnership taxation issues. Furthermore, you will provide tax analysis to facilitate the calculation of current and deferred tax expense, valuations, financings, forecasting, and other internal or external projects.

Actively and consistently supporting all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experienceAccumulating, analyzing, and processing financial accounting data for reviewing federal, state, and local tax returnsReviewing federal and state consolidated corporate and partnership income tax returnsResearching, interpreting, and applying tax laws and regulations that impact federal and state compliance, as well as other corporate and partnership taxation issues.Analyzing and evaluating the tax implications of potential investments, acquisitions, divestitures, or other investments in line with the organization's objectivesAssisting with special projects, including tax planning and identifying cash-saving opportunities.
Coordinating and communicating with members of the tax and accounting departmentsCompiling executive reports for tax purposes as necessaryAssisting with the US tax provision in accordance with ASC 740, including FIN 48 calculationsEstablishing and maintaining process controls to ensure SOX complianceResearching and recommending solutions to income tax accounting issuesAssisting with various process enhancements aimed at streamlining and automating the flow of dataMentoring and training senior staff and team membersPerforming other duties as required

Required Qualifications

Business tax return preparation, review and related research experience -  5+ yearsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related fieldAbility to read, write, speak and understand EnglishAbility to use personal computer and software applications (word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)Superior Excel skillsKnowledge of tax return preparation softwareAbility to research and resolve technical tax issuesAbility to analyze and interpret dataKnowledge of accounting theory and financial statement presentationDemonstrated verbal and written communications skillsAbility to effectively perform as part of a team committed to common objectivesAbility to adapt to unexpected or changing conditions and help others deal effectively with new situationsAbility to make decisions and solve problemsAbility to manage multiple projectsAbility to stay focused and meet deadlinesAbility to work independentlyAbility to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward mannerAbility to communicate with all levels of management and company personnelAbility to manage people as well as projects simultaneouslyAbility to show judgment and initiative to accomplish job dutiesAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to prioritize and organize effectively

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree such as Masters in Accounting with concentration in TaxCPABig 4 public accounting experience - 3-5+ yearsManagement or leadership experience - 2+ years
