As a Manager of Indirect Strategic Sourcing at GameStop, you will help to develop and implement improved strategic sourcing policies while working closely with the Director of Strategic Sourcing. This role requires strong leadership in category management, sourcing strategy and execution, and supplier relationship management. To ensure success as a strategic sourcing manager, you should demonstrate sound knowledge of negotiation strategies and extensive experience in a similar role. An accomplished strategic sourcing manager will be someone whose expertise translates into higher profit margins and a competitive advantage.
This position will sit onsite in Grapevine, TX.
Responsibilities:
Lead the sourcing, vendor negotiation, and contract management processes for multiple categories.
Proactively identify and capitalize on opportunities for cost savings within procurement processes across expiring and existing contracts.
Take the helm of complex processes, projects, RFx, negotiations, or deals, ensuring their successful execution.
Establish and enforce top-tier category management practices and strategies for assigned categories.
Uncover new opportunities and drive process improvements with a keen eye.
Oversee proactive contract lifecycle management (CLM) for designated categories (Coupa CLM).
Evaluating sourcing procedures and presenting improvement strategies to senior management for approval.
Maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships.
Driving purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing at a manager level, with a proven track record of success.
Demonstrated ability in developing and executing category management strategies across an enterprise.
Expertise in supplier development across regions leading multi-functional projects, and team development.
Excellent project management experience.
Proficiency in collaborating with all levels of management and departments.
Experience in managing and holding suppliers accountable.
Exceptional collaboration skills.
