Lumicera Health Services is seeking a Manager, Industry Relations to join our Pharmacy Trade Relations department!
Reporting to the Director, Strategic Partnerships, the Manager, Industry Relations is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enhancing effective relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers (manufacturer) that produce specialty pharmaceuticals; and negotiating contracts with such manufacturers to ensure the specialty pharmacy can obtain specialty pharmaceuticals and pricing to meet the demands of its payers and patients. Additionally, the Manager, Industry Relations is responsible for clinical drug pipeline and maximizing access to products that the specialty pharmacy has a strategic interest in dispensing. This includes managing requests for proposals (RFP), and request for information (RFI) for network access with manufacturers. The individual in this position will provide decision support through cost modeling, manufacturer fees forecasting, and budget impact analysis. Additional responsibilities include the oversight of proposal analysts.

Follows company policy regarding contract management, including legal and compliance review, and oversightMaintain relationships with manufacturers and identifies manufacturer program opportunities for the specialty pharmacyExpands and negotiates manufacturer programs including data and enhanced services programsNegotiates purchase discounts, including prompt pay, volume discounts, and direct purchase discounts when appropriate to maximize cost savings for the specialty pharmacyManages enhances services and data programs with the manufacturers included preparing and reporting on program performance and metrics during scheduled business reviewsDeveloping and successfully implementing strategies and action plans for establishing and enhancing a competitive Pharma contract structure which meets current and future needs of the specialty pharmacy, Navitus PBM, Payers, and patient/members. This includes ensuring that appropriate agreements, analytical processes, and audit programs are in place.Oversee the relations with data aggregators and manufacturers hub services and coordinate the activities between Lumicera and the data aggregators and manufacturer hub servicesSecure access to Limited Distribution medications and oversee the implementation of these agreementsDevelop and implement strategies to ensure Lumicera is in the best position to secure access to Limited Distribution process and associated fees/discountsAssists with the co-development and creation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts related to the procurement of specialty pharmaceutical products for specialty pharmacyOther duties as assigned QualificationsWhat our team expects from you?
PharmD or B.S. Pharmacy required. Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other graduate degree is preferredCurrent resident Pharmacist license with current, unrestricted license. Must continually maintain education credits to maintain active licensure.5 years of specialty pharmacy or pharmaceutical industry experience required5 years’ experience in contract negotiation; with strong preference in specialty or industry relations contracting (or equivalent experience)Must understand Specialty Pharmacy drugs including REMS and Limited Distribution Products best practicesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and ability to function independently and make decisionsExperience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational levelAdvanced experience in identifying and negotiating complex legal agreementsParticipate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectivesThe ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employeesWhat can you expect from Lumicera?
