Overview of the Role
Reporting to the Director Insights & Strategy, the Manager, Insights and Strategy is an insights leader and key business partner dedicated to delivering consumer, shopper, category and customer insights to support strategy development and drive profitable category growth.
****Salary ranges from $88 325 to $115 930*** offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.****
How you will make contributions that matter:
Leverage both custom and syndicated data to extract insights and provide actionable recommendationsProactively conduct category analysis to highlight issues and opportunities Identify consumer and shopper research needs, lead end-to-end research processEnsure that research is fully leveraged, and insights are socialized within the organizationCollaborate with Director and key stakeholders to develop category strategyTrack strategic KPIs, conduct analysis to explain results, provide recommendations Support Sales team with category analysis and key account plan developmentContribute to Innovation by highlighting emerging trends and category white space opportunities, assist in new product business case development and post launch trackingSupport marketing on brand and pack design research, marketing plans and consumer communications Provide recommendations on product assortment, planogram development, price and promotionsInspire and mentor direct report to promote insights and analytics excellence Support and maintain Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P.’s quality standardsYou are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
University degree – Business preferred5+ years progressive category management, insights or related CPG experienceSolid analytical skills with ability to extract key insights and develop compelling category storyInnately curious and proactive in developing deep understanding of the consumer and shopperSolid organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication and presentation skillsStrong business acumen with ability to influenceAble to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environmentProficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPointStrong knowledge of Nielsen MarketTrack and retailer POS / shopper data systemsExperience leading market research and managing suppliersSolid understanding of Canadian CPG & Foodservice landscapeWe support and care for our employees and their families by providing:
