JOB DESCRIPTION:
Manager Internal Logistics
Position Summary:
Responsible for managing company-wide material flow, distribution, warehouse logistics processes, and strategies across the business. Develops and rolls out general logistics strategy to the business. Supports regional distribution centers and plants to optimize operational performance, especially in the areas of delivery, inventory and material flow.
Essential Functions:
Manage Lean Leads for proper development and execution of Logistic Strategy. Improvement of Logistics processes, reduce waste and therefore increase productivity and optimize flow. Own all Logistics key performance indicators and creation of plan for every part strategy. Support packaging solutions and standards that cost-effectively support the safe movement of material throughout the distribution network Leadership to the plants and support to those executing the overall Logistics strategy. Research and propose new technology for Logistics.
Knowledge:
Experience with automation systems and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), including deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization. Working knowledge of ERP systems; SAP experience preferred Understanding of Warehouse Management processes and internal logistics. Cycle Counting, Radio Frequency (RF), Receiving, Material Staging and Warehousing

Possesses excellent analytical skills and is capable of utilizing the appropriate tools (i.e., excel, system reports, etc.) Ability to understand and navigate governance, administration, and culture in the internal and external environment, while demonstrating commitment to the organization and its customers. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and influence others in a matrix environment. Strong ability to work through constraints which could be out of your control. Must manage stress quickly while remaining calm with a strong ability to control emotions and behaviors. Excellent project management skills. Strong collaborator who puts team success before individual contributions; but can work independently and get the job done with minimal direction Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, specifically Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and analysis. Fluent in English; Bi-lingual a plus
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in supply chain management, with concentration in material flow, distribution and warehousing; 3 years’ experience supervising others APICS certification, or other comparable professional supply chain logistics designation preferred. Lean Logistics methods and project implementation.Experience with Systematic Layout Planning.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in related discipline required. Master's degree preferred. Green Belt certification preferred APICS or other equivalent certification preferred
