Responsibilities

Our Charlotte Distribution Center is seeking a results-driven Inventory Control Manager to oversee inventory accuracy, merchandise flow, and team performance. This role is responsible for optimizing inventory management processes, leading a team of associates and supervisors, and driving cost-saving initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, problem-solver, and leader who can ensure compliance with company policies while fostering continuous improvement in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Develop and implement inventory control strategies to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness Oversee cycle counting, root cause analysis, and discrepancy resolution to maintain accurate stock levels Ensure compliance with inventory management procedures and industry best practices Collaborate closely with Operations and Quality teams to identify patterns of defect injection and implement corrective actions Develop proactive solutions to minimize inventory discrepancies, prevent shrinkage, and improve data integrity Utilize data analytics and process mapping to uncover root causes of defects and drive continuous improvement Recruit, train, coach, and mentor associates and supervisors to build a high-performing team Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and professional growth Effectively manage staffing levels to meet business needs and optimize productivity Identify and implement lean inventory management practices to reduce waste and improve efficiency while using data-driven insights to recommend and execute strategic inventory initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field; and four to seven years of inventory control or distribution center experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience Proficiency with inventory management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Excel to track and improve inventory accuracy Strong understanding of inventory control processes, cycle counting, and root cause analysis; managing inventory audits and reconciling discrepancies Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams Ability to develop and implement process improvements for accuracy and efficiency Flexibility to work fluctuating shifts in a fast-paced distribution environment Job Snapshot Employee Type Full-Time Location Charlotte, NC (Onsite) Job Type Distribution - Shipping, Management, Inventory Experience 4 to 7 years Apply to this job.
