As part of the Leica global infrastructure team, the Senior Manager – IT Network and Voice is responsible for managing the team that designs, implements, and maintains our global network infrastructure with a focus on continuous improvement in performance while looking forward to future designs with newer technologies. As this role is part of a global organization serving two operating companies, communication across teams and disciplines is critical to this role. This position will promote and implement global network standards, policies and procedures as well as resolve technical issues raised from our network operations team. It will sit on site at our Deer Park, IL location. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Manage a team of up to 6 Network and Voice Engineers (including associates and contractors) that deploy and maintain local and wide area networks for Leica Biosystems and the operating companies that Leica Biosystems supports. + Ensure global network meets or exceeds current regulatory and internal security standards. + Communicate project and operations status and metrics to IT leadership and Executive Leadership. + Maintain global sites in adherence with current standards and provide a roadmap for future standards and technology enhancements. + Provide tier 3 escalation for troubleshooting complex network issues. + Review status of any ongoing tasks and projects and escalate issues and risks to IT leadership promptly. + Required travel: 15 - 20% international. The essential requirements of the job include: + 5+ Years of IT Network experience combined with managerial experience in leading teams. + Experience with authentication protocols and implementations. (ISE, TACACS, RADIUS, 802.1x) + Extensive experience with Cisco IOS, IOS-XE routers + Experience with routing protocols and topologies (BGP, OSPF, VRF) + Experience with Cisco wireless solutions. Including Cisco Meraki products It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + SD-WAN Technologies + Palo Alto Technologies + Cloud based telephony + LeanIX and/or Netbox The salary range for this role is $135K-$150K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
