Job Description
The Hardware Asset Manager position oversees and manages the organization's IT hardware assets throughout their lifecycle, manages the people involved in day-to-day operations, and ensures HAM processes are effective, efficient, and adaptable. Manages service delivery initiatives involving networking, systems, security, data center, outsourced personnel and related vendors in support of various IT projects and initiatives. Ensures development and implementation of solutions in response to issues and customer complaints. Supports information systems products and services which include, but are not limited to personal computers, peripherals, internet connection, installed software applications, networking or access issues.
Job Responsibility
Develop effective strategies to manage hardware assets throughout their lifecycle. Working closely with internal and external teams to ensure effective and efficient workflows Providing guidance and training to staff on hardware asset management best practices. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of reporting hardware assets and inventory data. Ensure regular stock audits are conducted. Develop and publish Standard Operating Procedures and Runbook documentation. Develop training materials and conduct training sessions. Create, review, monitor, and report on HAM KPI Oversee the remediation of KPI and Security non-compliance Provides leadership to IT&S Service Management team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives. Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system. Develops and implements detailed technical solutions to resolve issues; manages technical and cross-functional implementation activities; ensures milestones are met. Manages project benefit realization involving tracking implementation of quality, service, and financial benefits of projects; analyzes and manages integration of work-plans and risks, provides mitigation strategies. Prepares reports, summarizes, and communicates status of operational trends and dashboards to executive management. Participates in the innovation process for new services across organization including driving solutions for users and customers. Develops and supports information systems products and services which include, but are not limited to personal computers, peripherals, internet connection, installed software applications, networking or access issues. Implements training and help desk software capabilities to strengthen service operations. Ensures service requests are properly resolved according to organizational standards. Selects, develops, manages, and evaluates direct reports; oversees the selection, development, management, and evaluation of indirect reports. Performs related duties as required. Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. 6-8 years of relevant experience and 2-5 years of leadership / management experience, required.HIGHLY PREFERRED
Possess IAITAM Certification, such as CHAMP and CITAM. Proficiency with ServiceNow HAM PRO Minimum of 5 years of relevant IT Asset Management experience, particularly in hardware. Strong knowledge of IT Asset Management best practices and of compliance regulations Experience in developing and implementing asset management policies are procedures. Ability to analyze data and extract trends to improve asset management processes. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
