Manager, Labour Forecasting and Planning

Reporting into the General Manager for the Toronto unit, this role is responsible for all the local activities related to the labor planning and labor scheduling in the long- and short-term for the Toronto unit.Key duties of the role:Assembling the data points needed for short-term labor demand forecasting.Assembles the data points needed for long-term labor demand forecasting, including assisting department heads in defining annual planning parameters such as holiday roster, sickness, agencies, recruitment, flexibility etc.Calculates labor demand and creates optimized rosters in coordination and collaboratively with department managers (Operations Planning & Controlling Department) in line with Gate Gourmet working regulations and per unit Master Production Schedule (MPS).Manages data related to productivity and efficiency in the area, ensuring compliance with the budget targets (eg.: productivity, overtime, net pay rate etc.), monitoring and using the corporate tools such as OPRS and Planning and Forecasting tool.Organizes the right resources to fill in for in demand gaps (sickness, no show, etc.) in collaboration with the department managers in line with GG working regulations.Communicates and provides feedback to the regional planning team, or/and HR/Legal  to improve planning process, union agreements etc., and informs operations ahead of any major changes in CPC/man hours.Responsible to provide data for and to facilitate OPRS (labor) meetings and its related KPI’sAdheres to legal/compliance requirements across health and safety, food safety, and security.Education:High School graduate or equivalent ; University or College strongly desirableExperience needed to be qualified:At least a total of 3 years’ work experience in the airline catering business, preferably in areas related to data management, operational planning, information systems, operational KPIs follow up or finance controlling.
