The Manager, Learning and Development (L&D) is responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive employee training initiatives and solutions. This position collaborates with divisional leadership and Human Resources to provide consultation, coaching, and guidance on employee talent optimization, implementing learning and development programs that drive results, and provides change management support. This position creatively designs and implements effective methods to train, educate, improve compliance, and assess performance and training effectiveness

Strategic Learning and Development Partnership

Develop and execute learning strategies and programs to meet organizational goals.Conduct needs analyses to identify knowledge, skill, and performance gaps.Design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning solutions that meet business and performance needs.Employ adult learning principles, instructional design theories, and appropriate educational technologies.Establish and maintain collaborative, effective working relationships with business stakeholders.

Training Delivery and Facilitation

Create and/or identify training objectives and content, aligning training needs with subject matter experts.Facilitate interactive discussions, activities, workshops, and training sessions.Collaborate closely on individual and team development, change management, business planning, process improvement, and strategic training support.

Program Management and Evaluation

Serve as a project manager when designing, implementing, and partnering with stakeholders.Develop processes to measure the effectiveness of learning and development solutions.Evaluate and maintain the quality and effectiveness of existing programs, adjusting as necessary.Identify and manage vendor relationships and budgets in the design, development, and delivery of training programs. Qualifications

Education / Experience

High School Diploma / GED (required); Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design and/or Technology, Education, Business, Adult Learning, Organizational Development, Communications, or related field (preferred)Minimum five (5) years progressive experience in Training and Development, Blended Learning, Adult Education, Human Resources, and/or Organizational Development (required)

Leadership Development and Program Creation

Demonstrated success designing, implementing, and evaluating leadership development programs.Experience building effective relationships with stakeholders, demonstrating success in delivering on organizational strategy.Strong analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement.

Training Facilitation

Experience successfully facilitating training across various levels of employees (e.g., front-line management, senior leadership, peers, campus and home office staff).Ability to facilitate training in diverse settings (large groups, small groups, one-on-one, remote, in-person, and self-study environments).Role models excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate participants.

Technological Proficiency

Learning Management System (LMS) administration experience (Cornerstone OnDemand preferred).Experience with Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise, Presenter, etc.) (preferred).Familiarity with digital content creation tools to develop and deliver engaging training materials.

Technological Proficiency and Adaptability

Demonstrated knowledge of educational, social, and communication technology with a desire to learn new tools (software and hardware) as appropriate.Proficiency in MS Office (required), Smartsheets, and SharePoint preferred.Familiarity with learning methodologies like ADDIE, adult learning principles, or eLearning tools.Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and digital content creation tools.

Analytical and Independent Problem-Solving

Strong analytical skills to assess organizational learning needs and identify skill gaps.Understanding of how to support employees through organizational changes.Skills to develop programs that support smooth transitions and enhance employee engagement.Ability to conceive, create, and edit training materials.Ability to work independently with minimum direction, taking projects successfully from concept to implementation.Ability to influence employees to drive organizational development and learning agenda.
